With some 13 million residents Jakarta is easily the largest city in Indonesia and perhaps the largest in South East Asia. Jakarta is a study in contrasts, rich and poor live side by side while gleaming office towers denote modernity most residents cling to traditional way of life that has changed much in the last 100 years.
